Ms. Stokes serves on the Science Writing Team at RLA. As a primary writer, Ms. Stokes develops a wide variety of documents to move science forward (e.g., meeting summaries, reports, and advocacy materials) at a range of government and private sector organizations, including the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute on Aging, and the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Ms. Stokes has extensive experience in academic writing with a publication record in scientific journals. Her work has focused primarily on developmental biology, genetics, and biomedical research. Ms. Stokes completed an MS in biology at The George Washington University and a BS in physiology and neurobiology at the University of Connecticut.
