Dr. Attard is a Senior Science Writer/Editor, producing and editing a variety of written material for RLA and its government and corporate clients (e.g., meeting summaries, press releases, white papers, reports) and assists with research and analysis on a range of projects. He had a decade of lab research experience–initiating, devising, and performing experiments in cancer biology, molecular biology, and viral pathogenesis at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), John Hopkins University School of Medicine, and the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute. He supported the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine for 9 years as a scientific writer, preparing manuscripts and abstracts, summarizing studies administered by the Foundation, and writing the highly technical advanced scientific portion of contract and grant proposal applications. He earned his PhD in poultry science with a concentration in mycotoxicology and a minor in molecular biology from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he also earned his BS in microbiology.
