Dr. Beazley supports the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Review and Analysis (R&A) efforts by providing scientific and technical assistance to the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) through RLA’s subcontract to Leidos, and provides science writing support to other RLA clients. She earned her PhD in cell, molecular, and developmental biology from the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University. After graduate school, Dr. Beazley undertook postdoctoral training in anatomy and cellular biology at Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed a senior postdoctoral fellowship in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine where she was the recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Postdoctoral Scholar Award. While at the University of Maryland, she also completed a scientific writing internship in the Office of Public Affairs. Dr. Beazley received her BS in molecular and cellular biology from Texas A&M University. She is active with the Baltimore/DC Chapter of Women in Bio (WIB), serving as Chair, Young Women in Bio (YWIB), and directing volunteer efforts to create afterschool STEM programs and events for middle and high school aged girls in the Maryland and Washington, DC area.
